A new series about a college student in need of funds is now available on iTunes (US). Rather it should be called Sugar Daddy dating which reflects the current trend in college girls who would rather get paid to date than just wake up with a pizza box and beer can in the bed and wonder who they hooked up with last night.
Christine Reade (Riley Keough) is a second year student at Chicago-Burnham Law School and a new intern at a prestigious firm. Working hard to establish herself at the firm, her focus quickly shifts when a classmate introduces her to the world of transactional relationships. Known as GFEs, they are women who provide “The Girlfriend Experience”—emotional and sexual relationships at a very high price. Juggling two very different lives, Christine quickly finds herself drawn into the GFE world, attracted (really means addicted) to the rush of control and intimacy.
You wonder if sugar dating has taken over as the new form of dating recognizing that any arrangement is really a business arrangement and by setting expectations and rules upfront makes more sense than traditional dating where people get hurt and even vengeful when they fail.
